There is nothing like maa ke haath ka khana! Doesn’t matter whoever you are, we all have a weakness – mom’s cooking. The pleasure that one gets after enjoying mothers cooking is unparalleled. And, recently, a man took to social media to question why to shell out money for expensive food at airport, when you can have mom-cooked parantha & pickle.
Video Of Man Enjoying ‘Ghar Ka Khana’ With Mother At Airport Goes Viral
Targeting elite, Twitter user Madhur Singh took to social media to share a clip of him and his mother enjoying “aloo parathe and achaar” as they wait for their flight at the airport.
In his attempt to normalize eating home-cooked meals at the airport rather than paying for overpriced food at the airport, he wrote, “Travelling in flights have become easier for middle class but the societal pressure of buying ₹400 worth dosa and ₹100 worth water bottle is still too damn high.” He further added, “My mom packed Aalu parathe for our journey to Goa and we ate them at the airport, with nimbu ka achaar.”

But Singh couldn’t save himself from judgmental stares. He further added how passerby seemed to be judging them for bringing their own food. He wrote, “Some people looked at us, oddly, but hey, they don’t matter, and we don’t care.” Shattering the societal pressure, he added, “Jitni pocket allow kare utna kharcho. Jo taste pasand ho wo khaao. Society to pata nahi kya kya sochti hai. Sochne do. Tum mast apni life apne style se jiyo.”

Netizens Applauded Him For Normalizing Home Cooked Food At Airport
While one user said, “Nothing beats maa ke haath ke aloo parathe.”, the other user wrote, “You are right. And I never realized that middle class people are still so conscious about status.” Targeting the elite mentality, one netizen wrote, “Great!! The elites have problem withhome cooked food on airports, frustrate them more.”
Here’s how internet reacted:
In 2018 and 2019, I used to travel almost every week with layovers upto 8 hours, sometime overnight. Carrying home cooked food, little dry food and a bottle of water saved my life. I had with me always a ground sheet, a thin comforter to cover and an air pillow, you know for what

I hate airport food. Whenever I’d pack my lunch/dinner box, I do.
And that is something to be proud about that my mom/wife cares enough to pack my food. 😎🙏🏾
Nothing beats maa ke haath ke aloo parathe 😍

This is perfect. I do this all the time on by business trips. It’s healthy that way.
