We live in a world where we have billions of humans, but humanity is rare!
In the times, when people hardly come forward to support each other, we need to celebrate the story of these 3 real heroes!
These heroes came forward to support a helpless mother in the time of emergency.
So What Happened?
In a strange incident, a woman gave birth to a child on a moving train.
On Sunday, the pregnant woman encountered labour pain while she was traveling by the Agartala-Habibgaunj Express. As there was no medical assistance, three passengers on the train helped her in delivering a baby.
The way they supported her made us believe that real heroes do exist!
Real Heroes Showed How Humanity Is Still Alive
According to TOI, when the pregnant woman started having labour pain, the three passengers, Md Sohrab, Subadar Gadwa and Tribhuvan Singh offered her their help.
They tried to find a doctor on the train. But, when they couldn’t they did not waste any time to decide their way forward.
They decided to assist the helpless mother in delivering her newborn.
They collected clothes from female passengers to create a makeshift labour room for the new mom to have privacy while giving birth to the baby.
The trio did everything that they could.
But, when they were unable to cut the umbilical cord, they pulled the chain to stop the train at Dhupguri station. The local doctor was then called after informing the Railway Protection Force (RPF) officer and station master about the incident.
The doctor safely removed the umbilical cord and provided first-aid to the mother and the child.
Sohrab shared it with TOI that he helped the woman as a human being. Someone had to do something to help her.
Why Should We Applaud Them?
We do criticize Indian men when we read stories about how women are mistreated or abused. We not only criticize those men but also blame the parents for their irresponsible parenting.
But when we read stories about a few good men like – Md Sohrab, Subadar Gadwa and Tribhuvan Singh, we hardly applaud their support and great thinking!
It’s high time that we start applauding these real heroes to show our support as well!
At IFORHER, we believe that the narrative about women wellness needs to change. But, it won’t change till women and men both come together to own the narrative.
And, people like Sohrab, Subadar and Tribhuvan make us believe that this will happen really soon.
