As the world is fighting against the coronavirus outbreak, India is taking every step to make sure we keep our citizens safe.
With new cases coming to light every day, not only 84 people are already infected with the virus but two people have lost their lives due to the infection.
Amid all this, Sudha Murty, Chairperson of the Infosys Foundation and a philanthropist, has offered to help Karnataka government in curbing the spread of coronavirus.
Recently, she wrote a letter to the Karnataka government, in which she has urged the government to vacate one hospital and dedicate it towards the treatment of COVID-19 positive patients. She believes if the disease spreads further, it will be difficult for private hospitals to manage the cases.
The letter reads:
“I request you to vacate one government hospital with at least 500 – 700 beds for this purpose, which requires oxygen lines and pipes.”
She further added that not only the Infosys Foundation will do the civil work but also Dr. Devi Shetty, Chairman of Narayana Health will share the resources like medical equipment.
In the letter, she also requested the government to shut all the schools, colleges, malls, theatres, and all air-conditioned areas, keeping only essential service stores such as pharmacies and grocery stores open.
Many netizens came forward to applaud Sudha Murty’s great act of kindness:

According to Economic Times, Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa has already responded to the letter, and a meeting of senior officials including Sudha Murty and Devi Shetty will be held soon to chalk out a feasible plan.
At IFORHER, we are in awe of Sudha Murthy as she never leaves a chance to show the world what humanity looks like.
