Almost 2 weeks back, a local journalist’s photo of a little boy sleeping with his dog on the streets of Muzaffarnagar was uploaded on social media. And, in no time the story of this little boy Ankit and his dog Danny went viral.

As per sources, Ankit’s father is apparently in jail and his mother abandoned him. Ankit has been surviving by selling balloons and working at a tea stall during the day. And, during the night, he sleeps on the footpath. Neither Ankit has any home nor any memory of where does he belong to. With his dog Danny on his side, Ankit is living his life on a footpath. Whatever little Ankit earns, he spends on feeding himself and Danny.

Sharing his story of Ankit, the owner of tea stall where Ankit works at times, mentioned:
The dog would be sitting in a corner as long as the boy worked here. Ankit is self-respecting and would never take anything for free, not even milk for his dog.
After his pic went viral, the city administration started looking for him. On Monday, he was eventually traced. He is presently under the care of Muzaffarnagar police and is staying at a shelter home.
Ankit is now under the care of the district administration of Muzaffarnagar. He was residing safely with a family. He is healthy, fit and happy. All efforts are being done to trace his family. Planning to enroll him in a school also.He is now in safe hands.@NCPCR_ @UPMahilaKalyan

Kudos to Danny for being there for him always.
As per The Tribune, the police department is also planning to admit Ankit into the Modern Police School, as private institutions are reluctant to give admission to the boy who has never been to school. Several families have reportedly also come forward to adopt the child.
At IFORHER, we wish Ankit and Danny all the best for the future and hope they will find a loving and caring home soon.
