The next time you are disappointed with life for not owning a house or a car or unable to afford a fancy vacation, just look at these kids.
It will make you question your unhappiness!
Recently, a picture of 5 children who carved out the carrom board out of mud went viral for all the right reasons.
The viral image shows five children playing with a carrom board made of mud and what looks like bottle caps for carrom men.
What an inspiring photo to see in my #whatsappwonderbox this morning. Incontestable evidence that India has zero poverty of imagination… pic.twitter.com/WYYu1ohX84

In the unfairly constructed society of today, where greed to acquire more and more is the only driving force, this image shows how some super innovative kids are creating their own happiness without money.
Another video capturing a similar sentiment went viral. In the video, you can see a father and son celebrating the purchase of their humble cycle. The post is shared with an apt caption: True happiness doesn’t require Mercedes always.
True happiness doesn’t require mercedes always….If any information about this girl child and her father please let me know, we soldiers of #BharatVikasParishad will gift new cycle to this #BharatKiBeti and to her father too.#bharatkilakshmi @sureshjainRSS @narendramodi pic.twitter.com/MudhEOreUP

But, one can’t deny the unexpected sadness that comes along with this image and video.
They make you feel sad for being a part of such an unfair and unequal society where some are traveling in private jets and some are not even able to afford two meals a day.
Somehow, the picture and video managed to make us feel wanted to be as happy as these innocent kids. Like some humans of the 21st century, we yearn for the kind of happiness that is not driven by any materialistic greed but pure love for life.
If you still feel money brings happiness then just here’s some food for thought:
Shmuley Boteach, American Orthodox Jewish rabbi, author, TV host, and public speaker once said:
“Americans, citizens of the richest nation in the world, consume three-quarters of the world’s anti-depressants because materialism will never bring happiness”
So, the next time when you are sad for not owning a car or a house or other luxuries, remember:
No matter how big your house is, how new your car is, how big your bank balance is or how many sets of jewelry you own; one day we will all be reduced to worthless ASHES.
