This new-born baby boy is being hailed as the world’s bravest hero. He fought for his life so hard that all are in awe of him!

Though the ideal weight of a baby boy during birth is 2.5-3.5 kg, this young brave soul weighed only 268 grams at the birth. Beating all the odds, this baby’s successful struggle to live, brought hopes to so many young moms and dads who are blessed with pre-born babies.

Not only the medical world is in awe of this young baby’s courage but also the whole world is celebrating his healthy return home.

The Struggle Miracle Baby Survived

Before you underestimate the struggle of this miracle baby, you need to know what he fought against to survive. As per India Today, babies born weighing below 1,000 grams are likely to suffer multiple ailments. Heart failure, acute breathing problems, severe infections due to their underdeveloped organs to name a few.

This Miracle Baby survived all these battles to script a new milestone!

He is been celebrated as the “World’s Smallest Boy!”

The earlier smallest baby boy weighed 274 gms and the smallest baby girl weighed 252 gms. Among the smallest babies, the survival rate is much lower for boys than girls.

As per the Tiniest Babies Registry website:

There have been 23 babies worldwide who survived after being born prematurely and weighing under 300 grams.

And, shockingly, out of them, only four are baby boys!

How This Miracle Baby Fought For His Life To Script The New Milestone:

When the miracle baby was born, he was so small at birth that he could fit in a pair of hands.

But, when doctors treated him while managing his breathing and nutrition, he grew steadily and was able to be breastfed. The boy was treated for months by Dr. Takeshi Arimitsu from Keio University hospital in Japan.

The doctor shared how this miracle baby will give hope to many families:

“I want people to know that babies can return home vigorous even if they are born small,”

The boy’s mother shared how she wasn’t sure whether the baby would survive:

“I can only say I’m happy that he has grown this big because honestly, I wasn’t sure he could survive,”

The baby boy left the hospital last Wednesday, two months after the initial due date, weighing 3,238 grams!
