It is heartbreaking how even in the 21st century, our patriarchal society pampers its sons so much that they grow up into entitled men. Recently, a Twitter user @lammizaarif sparked a discussion on the same. He tweeted about how young boys should be taught not to throw tantrums at their mothers, as it turns into entitlement and misbehavior when they become adults.
Boys should be taught from a young age that they can’t throw tantrums at their mother if and/or when she cooks something they don’t like. Their entitlement begins right here and evolves into misbehavior everywhere. It should be nipped in the bud.

Make them do things that are conventionally considered “feminine”. Make them go to the kitchen, don’t serve them food at the dining table, just don’t let them feel that women of the house are there only to serve them. The moment they get comfortable, women are doomed.

Kitchen was not a “women only” space in our home. Mum did the bulk but Dad often helped with cooking (& chased others out demanding to be left alone & not to come in his way!). Also laid the table. Mango shakes by Dad in the summers. Men lose out on bonding if they dont engage

Instead encourage the kids (irrespective to any gender) to do their work/daily rituals by own, push them towards independency rather than relying on others. They should understand it’s a privilege if someone is making food for them or cleaning there rooms.
