From time to time, we have this debate about whether too much money spoils our kids. As a society, we are so focused on accumulating wealth that we have no time to teach our kids empathy, values and so much more.

Recently, a video of a South Bombay online class went viral for all the wrong reasons. In the video, it appears the kids are part of an online class. During the class, Sid, a boy who appears to be from South Bombay, judging by the level of snobbery, decides to go after Vinayak, whose dad supposedly earns less than Sid’s servant.

Sid seems like a rich brat whose parents failed at teaching him manners or values. It is such a matter of shame that Sid feels it is okay to embarrass Vinayak by shaming his father. In a world, where rich are getting rich and poor are getting poorer, it is heart-breaking how so many are forgetting basic human courtesy, empathy and kindness.
