Mathematics Homework was one of the most dreaded things during our school times.
While some of us saw it as a cakewalk, most of us saw it as a living hell!
Though we might have struggled with it, today’s kids are much smarter in finding “ways” to make it the easiest thing of all time.
This viral video of a boy using Amazon’s Alexa device to help him out with his mathematics homework is proof that this generation is the smartest when it comes to resource utilization.
In the video, the boy in red is heard asking the smart device, “Alexa, what’s five minus three?” and in seconds he gets his answer.

But his mother caught him and put out the video online. She was surprised to know that the video went viral. So far, the clip has received more than 8.2 million views.
The mother told New York Post:
“It was just any regular day of doing homework. I’m in the living room, and I overheard him asking Alexa some math problems, and I could not believe it! What you don’t see is after he says,
‘Thank you, Alexa, for helping me with my homework.'”
The mother further added:
“The funny thing is that math is actually his favorite subject”
She further added:
“I was surprised because he knows this stuff. He was just being lazy. Taking a shortcut.”
As a precautionary measure, she is now planning to turn the speaker off to prevent her son from cheating in future.
Though she might have called it cheating, the netizens beg to differ. They feel it is the most appropriate example of using the technology and resources that you have.

We all know the love of our kids for the technology – doesn’t matter be it Amazon Echo or Google Home. Kids just love these smart devices because they are helpful and easy to use.
But experts and parents are still struggling to find ways to have these smart yet dangerous devices co-exist with the safe environment that we want for our kids.
A not so funny incident that happened recently made people a bit wary of these smart devices: A customer was shocked when Alexa blurted out, “Kill your foster parents”.

Further, Alexa has developed a bit of a “Not Safe For Work” reputation when it began indulging in conversations about sex and murder, Reuters reports.
Still, it’s not really shocking to see Alexa becoming popular day by day.
In case you are also thinking of buying any smart devices and introducing them to your kids, please be aware and weigh all the consequences before.
You are not only just gifting these devices to your kids, but you are also giving these devices “access” to your little one’s life.
