This single mom’s story of fighting against all odds for her daughters is an inspiration for all those who are struggling with life but are not giving up for their kids.
Mom’s love is priceless. No one else on this planet can love us the way a mom does. She is the one who is ready to fight the whole world to make sure we are happy, safe and protected.
Doesn’t matter how tough life gets, our mother makes sure that she takes us under her wings and fights with life so that it can’t touch us.
One such person who fought against the world is this mother. After losing her husband, her life turned upside down. But, she made sure she gathers her courage to give her daughters the best shot at life.
While sharing her inspiring story with HOB, she mentioned:
“I lost my husband a year back, leaving me to take care of our daughters. As soon as we lost him, my mother-in-law kicked us out of the house — she called us a liability.
At first, I was heartbroken but as I looked back at my life, I realized that I had no options; no choices. I was married off young, not given an education and told all my life that there was very little a woman was capable of doing.
Then I looked at my daughters and realized that I could make a decision to change their lives and prove what women are actually capable of.

I managed to get a small house on rent in Dharavi and began looking for work…any work. Finally, I landed one job as a cook and that one job led me to many more such jobs — I’m actually on my way to work right now and she’s accompanying me.
Today, I’m putting my daughters through school and managing the house — something I never even dared to dream of doing!
But, once I made up my mind to never allow my daughters to feel as worthless as I was made to feel — nothing could stop me.
Nothing can stop me — I won’t rest until my daughters prove to the world just what they’re ‘capable’ of.”
