As Kangana Ranaut’s Panga is set to release tomorrow, we are excited about this particular movie as it shows the courage of a mother who dares to dream. Kangana stars as Jaya – a mother, a wife, and a forgotten Kabaddi champion.
Like many working moms, who spend their day shuttling between daily chores and a regular job, Kangana has touched the heart of every mother who has forgotten her own dreams as she was busy being a responsible mother, caring wife, and loving daughter.
Even Panga actor Jassie Gill recently shared how society has never cared about the dreams of mothers. In full honesty, he confesses how his latest Panga made him realize how he himself never knew what his mother wanted to do in life.
While talking to PTI, the 31-year-old actor, who plays the role of a supportive husband shares:
“When I heard the story, I realised that my mother was also doing the routine work day in and out, without complaining. We never asked her what she wants to do, never asked what her dreams were. This is the story of almost every household,”
It is sad to see how our society writes off woman’s dreams when she turns into a mother. Though things are changing. Many mothers are coming forward to live their dreams. And, Harbhajan Kaur is living proof of that. Supported by her daughter, this 94-year-old businesswoman for Chandigarh has launched her new own brand – ‘Harbhajan’s’ and sells delicious home-made ‘besan ki barfi’ for a living.
At IFORHER, we applaud every mother who dared to dream and showing courage to take Panga with life. It is high time that our society should stop writing off moms and their ambitions, and applaud their courage & encourage them.
