Proud Of This Inspiring Mom, Who “Wore” Her Kid While Reading The Weather Report

In today’s world, moms are trying their level best to find ways to integrate motherhood with their busy lives.

They are finding ways to make the best of the motherhood, without compromising on their own professional or personal desires.

Recently a weather report by Susie Martin, the director of operations and a meteorologist at Praedictix, broke all the stereotypes. She appeared on the weekend forecast with her 2-year-old son on her back, and many moms applauded her effort.

She looked absolutely comfortable presenting the weather forecast with her sleepy little one wrapped on her back in a blue and purple cloth.

Her brave and inspiring act was an attempt at promoting the International Babywearing Week, which started from October 1 to October 7, came with an empowering message for all the mothers. Mothers who are trying hard to do the best that they could in raising kids.

The video was shared by the company on their Facebook page and has gone viral. Watching the video, we feel Susie is the best ambassador for International Babywearing Week.

Martin said,

“It is International Babywearing Week so I thought I’d bring out my hand assistant today to help walk us through the forecast.”

She further added:

“Babywearing has been a passion of mine since my son came into my world. It has been an invaluable tool for me as a mother and helped me and my son bond during the early stages of infancy. Not only that, but it was and still is incredibly liberating to be able to comfort my child whilst doing other tasks, which has helped me be a happier mom.”

Martin thanked her company officials for being immensely supportive of her and helping her not only as an employee but also as a mother.

Though the majority of companies in India have introduced a series of initiatives aimed towards comforting young mothers at the workplace, we still feel there is a lot that could be done to integrate motherhood into professional life.
