Most of the new moms fight a “SILENT WAR” of losing themselves in the journey of motherhood.
Most of the times, moms embark on a scary journey of fading away from their real self, their interests and their passion without any realization.
Then comes a moment of awakening when we are bombarded with some basic questions like:
When is the last time you read a book and finished it?
What are your hobbies?
When is the last time you had fun doing something that you love?
Sadly, when we struggle to answer these basic questions, we realize that we are in process of bidding goodbye to our real self.
No one can deny that motherhood is a busy, demanding, yet endearing journey but today’s women are trying avenues to not lose themselves in Motherhood.
Unlike her earlier counterparts, today’s woman is trying her level best to ensure that her real self co-exists with motherhood.
And one such woman is Gul Panag.
We know how Gul Panag has inspired so many women in the past to follow the unconventional paths to fulfill their dreams and passion. Gul is known for her interest in bikes and her ability to be exactly who she is, unapologetically. If you didn’t know, she also became a certified pilot in 2016.
Recently when the 40-year-old actor and model shared pictures of herself cleaning her bike along with her son Nihal, it motivated us to not let go-off ourselves in the journey of motherhood.
Tweeting the adorable pictures, Panag wrote,
“Sundays are for riding . And the next best thing is polishing the bike. And introducing the offspring to it. He seems to like it, though it will be a long, long time before he gets a ride on it. The chrome though . This weather here I tell you!”
If you feel that motherhood is a journey to lose focus of your own interests, goals and passion, then you will definitely reconsider that thought after looking at these adorable pictures that Gul shared.

“The bike and the offspring. Witnessing the bike starting for the first time! Starts of being a little alarmed and then switches to being curious.”

Doesn’t matter whether you are a housewife or an officer or a CEO, being a mother will be the hardest job you’ve ever had.
And, what makes it even tougher is the notion that we have to lose a part of ourselves when we become a mother.
But thanks to new age moms like Gul Panag, who are shunning this obsolete notion. They are showing the world how motherhood and free-spirited woman can co-exist in the most amazing way possible.
