While many migrant workers were struggling to go back home, there was one REAL HERO who decided to rescue them. Yes, we are talking about actor Sonu Sood, who has made the whole nation swell with pride during this time of crisis.
He is working 22 hours a day with very little sleep because he knows he is the only hope for many migrant laborers, who are stuck in Mumbai during the lockdown.
He is doing everything it takes to help migrant workers get back home.
He’s already helped 12,000 stranded migrant workers get back home by bus, gave up his hotel to house healthcare workers, and is providing meals and water for over 45,000 people in need, every single day.
But, that’s not all.
Sonu has promised to many that he will be on the road helping people until the last migrant laborer wanting to go home gets to go. If this doesn’t leave you teary-eyed then what will.
His kind gestures have touched the hearts of many and have restored our faith in humanity during dark times. Not only his kind gestures but also his kind words on Twitter are no less than chicken soup for the soul.

In a recent interview, the actor revealed that he had helped a few pregnant ladies return home. One of them even chose to name her son after him. While talking to Bombay Times, he mentioned:
“One of the groups that I sent to Darbhanga on May 12 had two pregnant ladies in it. The group has reached home and this lady had her baby yesterday; The family called me to say that she has named her son Sonu Sood.”
And, the mother didn’t just name her son Sonu, she kept the full name as a tribute to the actor for all his help:
“I said, how can it be Sonu Sood as you are Shrivastav. It could probably be Sonu Shrivastav, but she said, ‘Nahi humney bachche ka naam Sonu Sood Shrivastav rakha hai.’ That was so sweet; I was touched.”
