Rakhi’s act is a tight slap on the face of the people who consider daughters as a burden. It made the society realize why daughters should be the real love of every father’s life and should be treated with love and respect.

It’s the beginning of a lifetime of happiness. Mine is 19 now, but she remains the same little bundle curled up in my arms when she was born 🙂

Rakhi’s gesture has triggered a conversation around an important topic – “How we treat our Daughters in India?”
At IForHer, we believe our daughters deserve to be treated with respect and not considered a burden. There have been numerous examples where our daughters have proven they are not only an asset for their parents but also for society as a whole, and we need to make sure they get their due.
We would like to know how you think it can be done. Do share your thoughts here and we will publish it on IForHer platform for our community members to gain inspiration from.
