Dear Ladies,
We were wondering if you also underwent shock when Sonali Bendre shared the news of her fast-growing metastatic cancer?
The news was shocking but then in the last couple of days, there was something more than cancer that caught our eyes. Something really positive and inspiring.
It was the support that Sonali got from her girl gang, her best friends – Sussanne Khan and Gayatri Oberoi.
Ever since the world heard of Sonali’s cancer, her girl gang has ensured frequent visits to her in New York, where Sonali is undergoing her treatment.
Her girl gang is trying their level best to make sure that Sonali remains motivated and encouraged.
Sussanne posted a beautiful picture of her girl gang with a heart-warming and encouraging caption. She wrote,
“This is Us… Fight for you, Respect you, Include you, Encourage you, Need you, Deserve you, Stand by you.”
She also shared a beautiful post which not only encouraged Sonali, but also millions of people to help their friends who are struggling with their lives.
[ifh_news_form]“What I know for sure… I know for sure that no matter what the tide brings in we have each other to carry on our backs n swim safely to the shore…I know for sure in a world filled with question marks these have all my answers… and I definitely know how beautiful the future gonna be…. coz I have them to share it with… my force field”
If you ask any cancer survivor – Other than pain, what was the most dreaded moment?
Most of them will say – the moment when they lost the hair on their head.
But for Sonali, the moment of losing hair was made less painful as she was supported by her BFFs.
She shared her beautiful picture – happily spending time with her BFF’s, Sussanne and Gayatri. And, she thanked them for bringing smile and happiness to her life. She expressed her gratitude towards having friends. She shared,
“This is me. And in this moment, I am really happy. People give me strange looks when I say that now, but it’s true and I’ll tell you why. I am now paying attention to every moment, looking for every opportunity to find joy and #SwitchOnTheSunshine. Yes, there are moments of pain and low energy, but I am doing what I like, spending time with people I love, and feeling very loved and happy.”
She had further written,
“I am extremely grateful to my friends, my pillars of strength, who at a moment’s notice, arrived to be with me and help me through this. In between their busy schedules they find time to visit, call, message, FaceTime… basically never leaving a moment for me to feel alone. Thank you for showing me what true friendship is. #HappyFriendshipDay, ladies. Blessed to have you all in my life (including the ones not in the picture… You know who you are) @gayatrioberoi @suzkr P.S. Nowadays I spend far less time getting ready because I don’t have to fuss over my hair! #BaldIsBeautiful #FindThePositive #OneDayAtATime. Picture credit: @hrithikroshan”.
