On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Sushant Singh Rajput’s eldest sister shared an emotional note that captures the pain of every grieving soul, who has lost their sibling.
As per India Today, Neetu Singh shared how it was the first time in 35 years that she won’t be able to tie a rakhi on her brother’s hand. In her heart-touching poem, she wrote:
“35 saal ke baad yeh pehla afsar hai ki aaj puja ki thal saji hai, aarti ka diya bhi jal raha hai, bas woh chehra nahi hai jiski aarti utar sakun. Woh kalai nahi jispar rakhi baand sakun. Woh muh nahi jisko meetha kar sakun. Woh maatha nahi jise chum sakun. Woh bhai nahi jise gale laga sakun.”
Sharing how she never imagined of him not being there for Rakhi, she mentioned:
“Varshon pehle tum jab aaye they toh jeewan jagmag ho utha tha. Jab they toh ujala hi ujala tha. Ab jab tum nahi ho toh mujhe samajh nahi aata ki kya karun. Tumhare bagair mujhe jeena nahi aata. Kabhi socha nahi tha ki aisa bhi hoga. Yeh din hoga par tum nahi hoge.”
She ended her emotional note with such heart-touching words,
“Dher Saari Cheezein Humne Saath-Saath Seekhi. Tumhare Bina Rehna Main Akele Kaise Seekhun? Tumhi Kaho!”
Here’s her complete note:
Sushant Singh Rajput’s other sister, Shweta Singh, also remembered him with few lines:
It is never easy to lose a sibling, who has been with you through thick and thin. We pray for strength and courage for Sushant’s sisters and all those who are grieving today about their lost siblings. We know today isn’t an easy day for them.
