In this heart-touching post, mothers share how they felt when their daughters got married.
Mothers are special. They are our first friend, the best guide, and our best supporter. And, we will always have a special place in our mother’s heart irrespective of how old and independent we become.
We always need our mother at every stage of life, be it the first day of our school or the first period or first break-up or wedding day or the day when we ourselves become a mother.
Sadly, there comes a moment in life, when we have to leave our parents’ house to start a new phase of life. This phase is the most emotional and the most beautiful part of every girl’s life.
While on the one hand, we are full of happiness as we are about to start our new life, on the other, we get emotional as we are leaving our home. But there are some special people who feel the same pain that we feel and those are our parents.
Some moms shared with IFORHER how they felt when their daughters got married and it showed what moms go through when their little girls leave the house to start their new life. These emotions will touch your heart and will make you call your mom.
1. Piece of my heart was walking away
“Her bidaai was the most difficult time of my life. I had to let go off a piece of my heart. It felt like it was yesterday when we got her home from the hospital. She was too tiny, and when I looked at her dressed up like a bride ready to leave, I had only one wish to hold the time.”
2. Our house will not be the same again
“I just wanted to tell everyone that I won’t let my little angel go anywhere. The thought of living without her in the same house was slowly killing me from inside. How can we live in this house without her being here, she was the one who made this house lively, warm and happy.”
3. Has she made the right decision
“We have raised her as a strong and independent woman, who knows whats best for her. So, when our relatives were judging her choice and telling us that love marriages fail more than arrange marriages, I just wanted to tell them to leave my little angel alone.”

“Though she would try her level best but what if something goes wrong? But, even then I have full faith in her experience and education. Thanks to her love of job, she will always be financially independent. And, in case there is any stress, she will not only be able to help herself but also her husband as well.”
5. She isn’t a Paraya Dhan, she will always be our daughter
“Though society believes that my daughter won’t be part of my family anymore, I don’t agree to it. No matter wherever she stays, with whomever she stays, she would be part of our family. Her father and mother will always be there to support her. She will always have great support system in us.”
6. Hope she won’t face any issues with her in-laws
“We always wanted the best for her. And, hope her in-laws would also accept her as their own daughter. “
