But, what if you could actually create peace? What if someone tells you the secret that will always keep you in a peaceful zone – irrespective of what happens in your life?

Tip #1: Take 100 Deep Breaths
Count one and two and so on. Say “and” while inhaling & number while exhaling. Deep breathing increases the supply of oxygen to your brain and stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, which promotes a state of calmness.
Tip #2: Burn the ‘Burden List’
Create a list of everything that’s weighing you down mentally. And, then burn it as a form of letting go. While observing it burn, focus on how you hold the power of burning these things down and not the other way round.
Tip #3: Speak Up If Hurt
Tell the person whose actions hurt you, instead of holding it in and building resentment. Holding onto anger and resentment is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. It’s better to speak up and let the other person a chance to correct his actions.
Tip #4: Grab a Painting Brush
Yes, Art therapy is one of the widely used techniques to calm yourself down. Engage in a little art therapy, Grab some crayons, markers or paint ad put all your feelings on the canvas.

In today’s, digitally connected world, it is much easier than ever to find resources related to Meditation. Other than paid apps, you can find free resources like a guided meditation on youtube and calm down your mind.
Tip #7: Alternate Breathing
Try alternate breathing cycles 5 times and you would definitely find your brain calmer and peaceful.
In alternate breathing, close the right nostril with the right thumb, inhale through the left nostril, and then close it with fingers. Next, open the right nostril and exhale. As a next step, inhale through the right nostril and then close this nostril. Open the left nostril and exhale.
Write down what you’ve learned during a difficult situation. It will calm your mind as you will see how this stressful situation empowered you and made you wiser.
Tip #9: Apologize
If you made a mistake, apologize for it instead of holding the discussion in your mind. And, then forgive yourself because everyone makes mistake. But, remember, a wise man doesn’t make the same mistake twice.

Dancing makes your mind to focus on music and movements, and hence, pushes negative thoughts out of your head.

In case you live in an area surrounded by nature, then this one you must try. Take a walk in the midst of nature. And, while walking on the beach or forests, focus on the crashing sounds of waves or the melodious chirping of birds. You will be amazed at how they will calm you down.

Hit the gym or join a yoga class. The physical movement releases hormones that calm down the mind and make you feel peaceful. Exercise also has some direct stress-busting benefits.
