No one would deny that we are living in unprecedented times. As our country struggles with the COVID pandemic, there are some brave corona-warriors, who are coming forward to help the country fight and win this battle.
Recently, we were in awe of one such brave hero, who in these testing times, dedicated herself to serving humanity. Nancy Ayeza Mistry, a nurse, is selflessly performing her duty in Gujarat’s Surat. All this even when she is four-month pregnant.
Her commitment to serving humanity is quite inspiring. She attends patients at a COVID-19 care centre, while observing fast in the holy month of Ramadan.
Considering the risk of her being vulnerable to the virus, she is still stretching her to perform her duty admirably at a time as the country facing one of the deadliest health challenges ever.

In tough times like these, Nancy attends her patients at Atal COVID-19 centre at the Althan community hall for eight to ten hours daily. Nancy has been reportedly working endlessly in the same COVID care centre since the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic last year.
“This time, I am carrying a baby in my womb. But for me, my duty comes first and so I have been doing my duty in Atal Covid centre. By the grace of God Almighty, I have got the opportunity of serving patients in the holy month of Ramzan,” she told
Recently, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Shilpa Sahu, who is also pregnant, felt the dire need to come for duty and remind people to follow the lockdown guidelines, and protect others from this deadly disease.
It is a tough phase for our country. How these brave souls are coming forward to show us a great lesson of humanity is quite inspiring. While we are in awe of these inspiring heroes, we hope these brave souls will inspire many more to come forward and support fellow humans in these difficult times.
