1. When Ratan Tata took a stand for a woman who called him chottu and saved her from ruthless trolls.
In 2019, Ratan Tata had posted a picture of himself where he was seen sitting on the floor, smiling, it was a post uploaded to mark his 1M milestone. Among many congratulatory comments, one specific comment received a lot of hate from netizens. It was by a woman who congratulated Ratan Tata and called him ‘Chhotu’.
Even though the comment was simply a miscommunicated wish, trolls began lashing out at her. When things started getting messy, Ratan Tata stood for this woman, and said, “There is a child in each one of us. Please treat this young lady with respect.”

2. When Ratan Tata provided support to help relieve the impact of COVID-19.
In the fight against COVID-19, Ratan Tata extended a helping hand by donating a large amount of money. This donated amount was used to fund essential items for health care workers who were handling the pandemic directly. Additionally, he kept aside ₹ 500 crores for Personal Protective Equipment, respiratory systems, testing kits, etc.

On 5th January, 2021, Ratan Tata personally visited a former employee who has been sick for the last 2 years. His gesture of flying from Mumbai to Pune during a pandemic, shows just how good a human being he is.
5. When he decided to fight against enormous issues such as malnutrition among the children of our country.
Back in 2012, Ratan Tata spoke about how child malnutrition plagues our country. In his exact words, he said ‘My most visible goal is to do something in nutrition to children and pregnant mothers in India. Because that would change the mental and physical health of our population in years to come.”
Over the years, Tata Trust has started their plans to solve the problem. The trust has partnered with other stakeholders such as non-profits, philanthropic organisations, and private organisations for the plan. And, 13 states are already being effectively covered.

In 2016, a man posted a picture with Mr. Ratan Tata flying in an economy class of an airplane. Within no time, the picture showcasing the modesty of Ratan Tata went viral. The picture was taken when Air Asia inaugurated their flight route to Goa in 2014.
8. When Ratan Tata personally visited the families of all the 80 employees who were affected during 26/11 attack.

10. When he worked his way up by first working as a blue-collar employee at his own company.
After rejecting offer from IBM at New York, Ratan Tata started as a blue-collar employee at Tata Steel, Jamshedpur, in 1971. Do you know before moving up in the corporate ladder, he handled blast furnaces and shoveled limestone during his early days.
