2022 is a year when many were left shocked as movies of superstars bombed miserably at the box office. The audience made it very clear that 2022 belonged to good stories rather than superstars’ aura. From Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha to Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj to Ranbir Kapoor’s Shamshera, many super stars gave some of the worst performances of their career in 2022.
Here are some of the worst-performing Bollywood actors of 2022 who had more than two movies that bombed at the box office:
1. Akshay Kumar
Akshay Kumar had a terrible year with 5 of his movies miserably failing and leaving the audience unimpressed. Be it Bachchan Panday or Samrat Prithviraj or Rakshabandhan or Ram Setu, Akshay Kumar movies did terrible business at the box office. Even his movie – Cutttputli, which was directly released on OTT, left his fans unimpressed.
2. Ananya Pandey
With Gehraiyaan and Liger, Ananya Pandey failed to impress the audience once again. She was heavily criticized for torturing the audience with her pathetic acting in Liger. We hope she may give some decent performances in 2023.
3. Ayushaman Khurrana
It’s heartbreaking to see a talented actor Ayushmann Khurrana struggling this year. With movies like Anek, Doctor G, and An Action Hero, Ayushmann picked good subjects but his niche movies failed to perform at the box office.
4. Tara Sutaria
With movies like Heropanti and Ek Villain returns, Tara Sutaria had a terrible year. She left both critics and the audience unimpressed with her acting skills.
5. Siddhant Chaturvedi
Though with his performance in Gully Boys, Siddhant Chatturvedi left many impressed, he had a terrible 2022. With movies like Gehraaiyan and Phone Bhoot, he left his audience unimpressed. Hope he has a better 2023.
6. Jahnvi Kapoor
With movies like Mili and Good Luck Jerry, Jahnvi Kapoor tried unconventional films. Unfortunately, none of her movies leave any long-lasting impact on her audience.
7. Rakulpreet Singh
With Doctor G, Runaway 34, Attack: Part 1, and Cuttputlli, Rakul Preet had four releases this year. But, sadly, none of them performed or left the audience impressed.
8. Taapsee Pannu
It’s difficult to keep track of Taapse Paanu’s movies this year. With multiple inconsequential movies, she had a terrible 2022. With movies like Dunki, we hope her 2023 is much better than 2022.
9. Kriti Sanon
With Bhediya and Bachchan Pandey leaving the box office unimpressed, she had an unimpressive 2022. With movies like Adipurush and Ganapath, we hope she has a successful 2023.
2022 was terrible for Bollywood. With most of the movies bombing at the box office, audience was left unimpressed with Bollywood overall. Let’s hope 2023 treats Bollywood better and brings success
