1. Sitaare Zameen Par

Aamir Khan has gifted us numerous fabulous movies, and one such gem is ‘Taare Zameen Par.’ Featuring child artist Darsheel Safary alongside Aamir Khan in lead roles, the movie became a massive hit in 2007. What made this movie exceptional was that it marked Aamir Khan’s directorial debut. The film revolves around the story of an unconventional 8-year-old dyslexic boy, Ishaan, who is exceptionally talented in art but struggling with conventional studies and teaching methods. It turned out to be one of the best emotional Bollywood movies that made us cry like a baby.

Fast forward over 15 years, Aamir Khan has recently announced his next project titled ‘Sitaare Zameen Par,’ carrying a similar theme and hence a comparable title. While ‘Taare Zameen Par’ depicted Aamir Khan’s character assisting a special boy named Ishaan, in this upcoming movie, he is reportedly portrayed as someone receiving help from exceptional boys. With its unconventional plot, the anticipation for Aamir Khan’s new project is sky-high.

Joining Aamir Khan in the movie is Genelia D’Souza, who made a spectacular debut in Bollywood with ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na,’ produced under Aamir Khan’s banner. The trailer of the movie has not yet been released.

2. Mahabharat

The next on Aamir Khan upcoming movies list is ‘Mahabharat,’ a highly anticipated remake of the epic tale. The film boasts a stellar star cast and is helmed by the talented SS Rajamouli, known for delivering exemplary movies. Expected to premiere in December 2025, the movie is generating immense excitement among audiences.

Reportedly, the film’s trailer is set to release soon. Aamir Khan is speculated to portray the character of Krishna alongside several renowned Bollywood actors. Director SS Rajamouli, known for blockbuster hits like ‘Baahubali’ and ‘RRR,’ will serve as the executive producer for ‘Mahabharat.’ In one of the recent interviews SS Rajamouli shared how Mahabharat is his dream project and will be a 10 part-film. 3. 1947 Lahore

Following the phenomenal success of ‘Gadar 2,’ Aamir Khan announced a collaboration with Sunny Deol for the upcoming movie ‘1947 Lahore.’ Produced by Rajkumar Santoshi, who previously worked with Aamir Khan on one of the best Bollywood comedies –  ‘Andaaz Apna Apna’, the film is anticipated to feature Aamir Khan in a distinctive role. While details are currently under wraps, the buzz around this movie, along with Aamir Khan’s other upcoming releases in 2024 and 2025, is palpable.

4. NTR31

According to recent rumors, Aamir Khan might step into Tollywood with the upcoming movie ‘NTR31.’ Reports suggest Aamir Khan may portray a negative role in the film. While an official announcement is awaited, fans are intrigued by the prospect of Aamir Khan in such a role. The trailer for the film has not been released yet.

5. Pritam Pyare

As per many reports, Junaid Khan, son of Aamir Khan, will make a debut as a producer with the web series Pritam Pyare.  This web series will feature Aamir Khan in an extended cameo. The show is backed by Aamir Khan Productions. While talking about Pritam Pyare, Aamir Khan shares, “Junaid is now entering Bollywood as a producer like my father. With a new director and a new team and I am happy with his work. I am doing a cameo in his movie for five minutes.”

6. Laapata Ladies

Though Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao may have parted ways as husband and wife, professionally they are very much working together on Kiran Rao’s new project – Laapata Ladies. With Laapata Ladies, Kiran Rao will be returning as director after directing Dhobi Ghat years ago. The movie will feature Aamir in a cameo. The movie will hit the theatres in March 2024.

7. Spanish Film ‘Campeones’ Remake

After contemplating to headline the project, Aamir Khan will now produce the remake of this Spanish Film – Campeones (The Champions). The Spanish movie reportedly follows the life of an arrogant, drunkard coach, who trains a team of intellectually disabled people. As per many reports, the movie will be directed by Farhan Akhtar. 8. Ujjwal Nikam Biopic

Another upcoming Aamir Khan movie that is on the cards is the Ujjwal Nikam Biopic. There has been a lot of speculation about Aamir Khan stepping in to play the lead in a biopic of special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam.
