With Darlings Teaser, Alia & Shefali Leave Internet Impressed; Here’s Dark Comedy’s First Look

Finally, the makers of Alia Bhatt’s much-awaited Netflix release Darlings have finally unveiled its teaser. Along with Alia Bhatt, the series also featured Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, and Roshan Mathew in key roles. The film has been produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Alia’s Eternal Sunshine Productions. It is slated to premiere on Netflix next month. 

Sharing the teaser with fans on Twitter, Alia Bhatt wrote, “It’s just a tease Darlings. Arriving 5th August #DarlingsOnNetflix”.

As per the teaser, Alia and Vijay Varma first meet and fall in love. And, after seeking blessings from Shefali Shah’s character (Alia’s mother), the couple gets married. But, things quickly get worse as suspicions, lies, and bad intentions engulf everyone after Roshan Mathew’s entry.  

In the backdrop, Alia tells a story about a frog and a scorpion and how a predator never changes their true nature. Overall, the teaser looks intriguing and promising.  

Since it’s a dark comedy, there’s a touch of humour as well. Looks like Alia is all set to deliver another strong performance after the success of Gangubai Kathiawadi. Also, as always, Shefali Shah is looking great too.

The teaser has left fans excited who are now looking forward to the film’s release. Reacting to it, a Twitter user wrote, “I just love it!! Looks packed full of suspense & also entertaining”.  Another user tweeted, “Alia absolutely loved it, you did it again, always raising the bar for all of us and doing it flawlessly” A third tweet read, “This seems interesting.
