As reported by Trade analyst Ramesh Bala, Pathaan on Day 2 grossed over Rs 235 crores globally with Rs 70 crores earning just in India.

Yes, Pathaan became the highest opening Bollywood movie of all time. With a net gross of 55 crores, Pathaan beat ‘KGF 2’ and ‘WAR’ which earned Rs 53.95 and Rs 51.60 crore respectively.

For the unversed, Pathaan was released in 100 countries together. This led to one more new record making Pathaan the widest release of any Hindi film ever. Releasing across 8000 screens worldwide, Pathaan made a record of widest globally distributed Hindi movie.

3. Highest Opening Movie Of Shah Rukh Khan’s Career
Shah Rukh Khan, who has worked in more than 62 movies, saw highest-ever opening with Pathaan. Before Pathaan, it was Shah Rukh’s Happy New Year, which held the record of SRK’s highest first-day collection movie. While Happy New Year, opened at Rs 36.31 crore, SRK’s Pathaan opened at net gross of Rs 55 Crores.

4. Highest-grossing First Day For Deepika Padukone
Not just for Shah Rukh Khan, the movie also became the highest opener of Deepika Padukone’s career. Given the controversy she faced for Besharam Rang, she must be celebrating her big win. Before Pathaan, her film Happy New Year held this record.
5. Highest Gross Collection For Day 1 For A Non-Holiday Release
As the movie was released on Wednesday (25th January), Pathan created one more record for the highest-grossing first day for a non-holiday release.
6. Biggest Day 1 Collection Of Any Indian Spy Film Ever
Being the part of YRF Spy Universe, Pathaan created a new record for the highest opening day for any Indian spy film. Before Pathaan, this record was held Hrithik Roshan’s ‘WAR’. With Pathaan, John Abraham also witnessed the biggest opening of his career. Before Pathaan, it was Race 2 that held this record.
