Shark Tank – one of the most famous Indian business shows is back. With five episodes already aired, the second season has been at the center of many controversies. From Ashneer Grover’s exit to rejecting offers from Sharks’ competitors, the show sparked many debates recently.
For the unversed, the show has CEOs Vineeta Singh of SUGAR Cosmetics, Anupam Gupta of boAt, Peyush Bansal of Lenskart, Namita Thapar of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, and Amit Jain, co-founder of Cardekho as judges.

Though there is no doubt that the show acts as a great stage for many budding entrepreneurs, sadly, season 2 has left the internet disappointed. Many netizens took to social media to share how Season 2 is focusing disproportionately on emotions and relationships.
In one of the episodes, some sharks refuse to invest in a cosmetics company after hearing a pitch just because the company was operating in the same sector as that Vineeta Singh, who is one of the sharks.
This episode of Shark Tank Season 2 left the netizens very disappointed and it faced a lot of criticism.

Utmost nonsense is currently going on in ST2. It’s like a family drama, bhai behen wala pyaar, intead of a true entrepreneurship. Season 1 ws far better, as most sensible person @Ashneer_Grover ws thr making valid decisions. Somwhre I found @peyushbansal as good businessman.

For the sake of endless drama, many fans compared Shark Tank Season 2 to other reality shows, including Indian Idol – which is heavily criticized for unwanted drama.
One user wrote, “Why is there so much drama. The only thing I liked about this show was that there was no drama and it’s completely ruined now.”, the other commented, “Harr jagah emotional drama karna is sony ka usp.
