Class 8 Kid’s Complaint Gets Telangana Man Fined ₹62k For Chopping A Tree, Netizens Hail The Hero

On the 9th of February, the country witnessed an inspiring act when a Class VIII from Telangana raised his voice for the environment.

When he saw a man cutting down a forty-year-old neem tree, he swung into action. Rather than ignoring it, this boy chose to inform the authorities. He called up the Telangana Forest Department’s toll-free number and informed them of a tree being cut. According to the media reports, the boy identified himself as ‘Green Brigadier’ while on the call with Forest officials. The authorities quickly took action and reached the spot.

As per the reports, G Santosh Reddy had chopped down the tree on Monday because it was blocking a construction project near his house. The man was fined INR 62,075. This inspiring incident took place in Saidabad, Hyderabad.
