Sometime back a heart-touching picture of a hungry girl peeping into a school classroom went viral. This picture captured a Hyderabad girl holding an empty bowl and looking inside a room full of students having their mid-day meal.

And, now we have a piece of exciting news that would bring happiness to your face. This little angel has now been admitted to the same school.

This photo touched the hearts of many people online and hence, went viral on social media. After looking at the photo, one person came forward to support the girl and help her enrollment in the school. Now, she won’t only get an education but also an everyday mid-day meal at the school.

The girl was identified as Divya. She used to go to the school – Deval Jham Singh Government High School in Hyderabad – daily. But not as a student. She went there to get some leftovers from the food distributed during the mid-day meal.

This little girl, Divya is a daughter of a garbage collector and a sweeper residing in a nearby slum.

Though life was tough for Divya things took a better turn when the picture caught the attention of Venkat Reddy who is the National Convenor at MV Foundation, an NGO that works for the rights of the girl child.

He shared the picture on his Facebook profile and said that it is a shame that the girl couldn’t get education and food. And, later Reddy coordinated with other volunteers to ensure that Divya goes to a school.

Recently, he shared another photo of Divya with her parents on the first day of school. He mentioned that Divya was happy to get into a school and now she would get a mid-day meal every day.
