Khalsa Aid Helps Those Stranded In Ukraine, Serves Langar & Restores Faith In Humanity

Ukraine, under attack from Russia, is in a lot of chaos as hundreds of thousands of people are trying to flee the country. And thousands of Indian students, who are stuck in the war-torn country, are trying hard to be evacuated from the country.

With the evacuation process resuming from neighboring countries, many are trying to reach Hungary, Romania, and Poland where the evacuation flights are being planned.

Many students, who are stuck in the country, are living in very difficult situations.

They are either sleeping in the open or in bomb shelters without proper food and water. But even under such inhumane conditions of war, there are some incidents that are restoring our faith in humanity. One such incident happened when some students who took a train to Poland on Saturday were offered fresh, free meals.

As per Ravinder Singh, the founder of UK-based Sikh charity Khalsa Aid, Sikh volunteers have been helping students with free langar.

He wrote on Twitter: “Guru Ka Langar on a train These guys were fortunate to get on this train which is traveling east of Ukraine to the west (to Polish border ) Hardeep Singh has been providing Langar and assistance to many students from different countries. What a guy,”

This isn’t the first time that Khalsa Aid has come forward to help and support the vulnerable. In the past as well, Khalsa Aid has served many of those in need – from the war fronts of Syria and Yemen, to victims of some of the worst natural disasters.
