One such young girl, who came forward to build our country’s focus on women safety is 8-yo Aradhya Bachchan.
Applauding the fact that she was using her voice for one of the critical issues that our country is facing, many came forward to applaud her. In an inspiring video, one can see Aradhya making a sincere plea for women’s empowerment and safety reports. The video was shot at the school annual function, where she was accompanied by her parents – Abhishek & Aishwarya along with the grandfather Amitabh Bachchan.
In the video, she confidently talks about a new world where she feels safe, loved and respected. Dressed in a saree, Aaradhya spoke in her speech:
“I am Kanya (girl). I am the dream, the dream of a new age.
We will awake in the new world, a world where I will be safe, I will be loved, I will be respected.
A world, where my voice will not be silenced by the ignorance of arrogance but, will be heard with the understanding of wisdom.
A world, where knowledge will come from the book of life, flowing freely to the river of humanity.”
