At some point in our lives, we all have to leave our homes and settle in a different city or country for work or marriage. All is good till the worries about our ageing parents dawn upon us. And, recently, one such person took to social media to share his concerns about ageing parents.
NRIs recently took to Reddit to share how they want to shift abroad but the thought of their parents stops them. It started with a user writing: NRIs with ageing parents, how do you manage them?
Many came forward to share their experiences and their guilt, worries, and solutions. There were some who explained that one has to come to terms with the fact that life moves on and parents have to be left behind in order for a person to move forward. However, one can arrange for various facilities for their parents while they are gone.
Some shared how they moved back to India to live with their parents after a certain age.
