10 Dry Fruits Names You Must Know To Stay Healthy

by Uttkarsha Shekhar
September 6, 2022

Dry fruits are a great source of proteins, vitamins, minerals, and dietary fibre, and an ideal substitute for high-calorie snacks. They are fruits that have had the water removed from them using various drying procedures. They may be dried using either the natural sun drying process or dehydrators.

Because practically all of the water in the fruit is removed, the nutrients and sugar become condensed and concentrated in them. As a result, they become a good source of vitamins, minerals, natural sugar, and calories and can be consumed as a snack or integrated into a variety of recipes. They are used in both sweet and savoury dishes in Indian cuisine. Dry fruits provide flavour, fragrance, and texture to the meal while also adding richness.

Keep them in a cool, dry location to avoid bug or mould infestation. Dry jars or containers should be used to store them. Check the expiry date and buy organic dried fruits whenever possible to lessen your carbon footprint.  Now let’s learn their English names as well.  You will find below the dry fruits names in English followed by their Hindi names.
