After struggling with infertility, Lisa had three miscarriages and four unsuccessful attempts at in vitro fertilization. Eventually, they turned to surrogacy and welcomed their son Logan on July 3, 2015. Their daughter Elle was born on September 16, 2019. However, in May 2022, the couple announced their split. In 2004, Lisa and Lenny purchased a 9,944-square-foot house on the Sunset Islands for $4.5 million, known as “Palacio del Eden.” This house featured seven bedrooms and six bathrooms. However, they listed it for sale in 2012 with an asking price of $10.75 million.

The couple then acquired a Star Island property with eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms for $7.6 million. They bought the property at a discounted price due to foreclosure. But upon inspection, the Hochsteins decided the old mansion was unsalvageable. Furthermore, after consulting with an engineer, they opted to demolish it and build a new home. This caused controversy with the Miami Design Preservation League. And the ensuing court battle involved lawsuits and countersuits.

However, the Hochsteins ultimately prevailed in the dispute. Based on comparable Star Island sales, the 18,000-square-foot house they ultimately built is probably worth $40–$50 million now.
