It’s official! Naga Chaitanya and actress Sobhita Dhulipala are engaged, and their traditional ceremony was a beautiful, intimate affair with only close family present.
Nagarjuna, Chaitanya’s father, shared the joyous news on social media, posting, “We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 a.m.!! We are overjoyed to welcome her into our family. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Born on May 31, 1992, in Tenali, Andhra Pradesh, Sobhita comes from a Telugu family. Her father, Venugopal Rao, was a Merchant Navy engineer, and her mother, Santha Kamakshi, was a primary school teacher. Sobhita also has a younger sister, Samantha Dhulipala.

Her early years were spent in Visakhapatnam, but her family moved to Mumbai when she was sixteen. She attended H.R. College of Commerce and Economics at the University of Mumbai, studying corporate law, and she is trained in classical dance forms like Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi.
Career
Sobhita’s journey into the limelight began with her participation in beauty pageants. She won the title of Navy Queen at the annual Navy Ball in 2010. Encouraged by a friend, she entered a major pageant, initially just aiming to pass the first round. She went on to represent India at Miss Earth 2013 in the Philippines, where she won sub-titles like Miss Photogenic and Miss Beauty for a Cause. She also appeared in the Kingfisher Calendar in 2014.

Sobhita made her film debut in 2016 with the critically acclaimed “Raman Raghav 2.0,” starring opposite Vicky Kaushal. Since then, she has appeared in numerous films across different languages, including Telugu. She gained further popularity in the OTT space with notable roles in various series.
Her filmography includes roles in “The Body,” “Ghost Stories,” and “Kurup.” In 2022, she starred in the biographical film “Major” and played Vaanathi in Mani Ratnam’s epic period dramas “Ponniyin Selvan: I” and “Ponniyin Selvan: II.”
Sobhita reprised her role as Tara in the second season of “Made In Heaven,” continuing to captivate audiences with her diverse performances. Her character – Tara – has been recognized as one of the most badass women characters of recent times. She also earned acclaim for her performances in “The Night Manager,” winning the ITA Award for Best Actress – Popular (OTT).
