Parenthood brings so much joy and happiness for couples. But at times, it brings lot of challenges for some. It’s really a testing and painful time for some parents. One such parent, Sunny Leone, recently opened up how the IVF process made parenthood a really painful and difficult phase of her life.
Sunny Leone welcomed her twin boys Noah and Asher through surrogacy. And later, she adopted her charming daughter Nisha.
In a recent interview, Sunny Leone shared how she and Daniel Webber, her husband, planned three kids. But, sadly, their IVF didn’t go as planned. It left the couple heartbroken and the pain compelled them to explore the option of adoption.
While sharing the details about the process of surrogacy, Sunny Leone shared how the process took a year-and-a-half in total. She also shared what happened during the IVF process that made the couple to take the adoption route.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Sunny said, “We were going through the process of surrogacy, which takes a long time. It took about a year-and-a-half from start to finish, and during that time, before we decided ‘hey, why don’t we just adopt?’, surrogacy wasn’t going as planned.”
Revealing the hardships that the couple faced during the IVF journey, Sunny Leone mentioned: “We had six eggs – four girls and two boys. In America, you know the gender, and you can do genetic testing and all that kind of stuff. That’s in the US, not here. So we did IVF (in vitro fertilization), and the girls didn’t turn into a baby, so that was heartbreaking. You feel like a failure, and you feel so low and so upset about it.”

This heartbreaking pain made the couple opt for the adoption. Hence, the couple adopted Nisha Kaur Weber. Sunny and Daniel’s daughter Nisha Kaur Weber is six years old, and their sons Noah Singh Weber and Asher Singh Weber are three.
In a country where girls are seen as a liability and being abandoned at a young age, we need more people like Sunny Leone and Daniel Weber. Other than Sunny Leone, many women – Sakshi Tanwar, Sushmita Sen, Raveena Tandon, Mary Kom, Mandira Bedi – have also adopted daughters. A few months back, Shefali also shared her desire to adopt a baby girl.
